CCCAP Intake Specialist

Employment Status: Full-time

Supervisor: Lead CCCAP Intake Specialist & Executive Director of Child Care Connections

Location: El Paso County Department of Human Services Citizen's Service Center

Employment Requirements:

     2 years of post-secondary education and/or 3 years experience in:

            Early childhood care and education

            Child growth and development

            Parent/family education

            Provider support

            Child Care Resource and Referral

            Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

            Ability to work in a demanding environment

            Strong interest in early childhood care and education issues

            Sensitivity to the needs of young children and families

            Computer and word processing skills

            Strong organization skills

            Flexible, creative and able to problem solve

            Ability to multitask

            Excellent customer service skills

            Drivers license and acceptable motor vehicle record

            Bilingual preferred

Essential Duties:

     Locating child care that meets the needs of the family

     Providing consumer education on choosing quality child care

     Prescreen applications for Child Care Assistance Program

     Being knowledgeable about community resources including current CCCAP reimbursement rates and qualifications

     Working with community partners to meet the needs of clients

     Attending on-going training to improve customer assistance, cultural awareness, and database

     Other duties, as assigned

Pay range: $10-$13 an hour depending on experience
